Neil Lennon: Bemused by commentsCeltic boss Neil Lennon is perplexed by Scottish Premier League secretary Iain Blair's comments regarding the club's fixtures.Blair told the Scottish media the SPL schedule cannot be altered to help Celtic with their UEFA Champions League hopes.
But Lennon insists Celtic have not made any request to change the fixtures and that the Scottish champions will not be asking for any favours.
The SPL did alter their schedule in 2008 when Rangers reached the UEFA Cup final, but turned down a second request from the Ibrox club to extend the season even further.
"We have never asked for it (help) so I don't know where this story has come from," said Lennon.
"I don't know why people are asking Iain Blair but Iain has come out and said that it is going to be very difficult to do that.
"It would put the SPL in a difficult position because they have been criticised for not helping teams in the past so I wouldn't expect that to happen to us. We will deal with it."
